In case you haven’t heard, L2L2 Publishing will be accepting submissions at Realm Makers this year.

What exactly is Realm Makers? We’re so glad you asked.

Realm Makers is a speculative Christian writers’ conference, geared toward writers who love the fantastical, the weird, and the out of this world.

To quote their website, their mission is:

To provide a faith-friendly symposium for writers and artists, focused on science fiction, fantasy, and all their sub-genres. Whether participating artists wish to gear their content for the inspirational or mainstream marketplace, they have a place at Realm Makers.

Realm Makers recently featured acquisitions editor Michele Israel Harper on their blog, Faith and Fantasy Alliance. Harper will be representing L2L2 Publishing at this event, and she expounds in this article on what to expect at your pitch session as well as what to bring.

Read the article here.

Will you be able to attend Realm Makers this year? Not sure?

Learn all about the conference here. There is truly nothing like it.

We look forward to meeting with you!

Happy Reading!

Today we are featuring Author Sarah Armstrong-Garner. We are so glad you’ve joined us to learn more about Sarah and her novel, Sinking. Let’s get started!

Welcome to the blog today, Sarah! What has been your favorite part of your journey with Sinking?

The first would be holding the finished book in my hands. It was amazing to be able to say, “That’s my book!” Then there was seeing Sinking in The Avid Reader’s bookstore window; that took my breath away.

What about your launch party for Sinking? How was that?

It was a lot of fun. We had the party at De Vere’s Irish Pub with a mermaid entertainer. We figured since Jocelyn began her journey in Ireland, it was only right to start ours as close to Ireland as we could get.

And how wonderful to have a mermaid! Do you plan to have mermaids at other events?

Yes, there will be a mermaid at a few of the other book signings.

Oh my goodness, that sounds like so much fun! How do you balance family life and writing?

It’s one of those things I have to make time for. Late nights, when everyone else is asleep, is my work time—or when my wonderful husband, friends, or family take the kids for a few hours. I don’t have a set schedule, but I’m not a person who does well with scheduling and organization. Just look at my desk.

Do you see yourself writing anything other than the Sinking trilogy? Or are those the only books you plan to write?

No, I have billion book ideas I hope to make into books. My only worry is running out of my lifetime before ideas.

Speaking of other books, have you started writing Drifting?

Drifting is a work in progress. I know I’m going to have a few sleepless nights, but my goal is to have it published this year.

Exciting news! I must know: Who is your favorite character in Sinking?

Anna. I love how in tune she is with her environment, and how well she knows herself.

Most stories have a message, even if it’s only a hint. Does Sinking have a message?

Anna puts it best. “I do not care what color your eyes are, my dear. Do not ever be ashamed of who you are.”

Thank you so much for joining us today, Sarah. We have enjoyed getting to know you better!

Sarah Armstrong-Garner will be at The Avid Reader Bookstore in Davis, California this Sunday from 2-3pm. She will read a selection from her latest release, answer any questions you may have, and sign your very own copy of Sinking.

Details are as follows: The Avid Reader Independent Bookstore, 617 2nd St., Davis, CA, March 13, 2016 from 2-3pm. (Need directions? No problem! Follow this link.)

And who knows? Will there be mermaid at this event? Or perhaps another? There’s only one way to find out! (Besides bribing Sarah with a speaking engagement or her favorite beverage, of course.)

We hope to see you there!

L2L2 Publishing is ecstatic to introduce you to our newest author, Deanna Fugett.

Author of YA Dystopian with an underlying message of hope, Deanna adds a powerful book to our publishing house. Ending Fear: Book One of the Gilding Lands Series is incredible. We cannot wait to publish it.

This is one author whose career you want to watch.

But first, here is a little more about her:

Deanna Fugett, a most-of-the-time stay-at-home mom, works as a Preschool Teacher’s Assistant one day a week. All of the other days, she focuses on writing as much humanly possible. Wife of fourteen years to her husband Chad, she is blessed to mother four wonderful and hyper children. They have a cat named Buttercup, and a dog named Westley. (Oh my gosh, who doesn’t love that?)

Deanna resides in Denver, Colorado and volunteers at her church. Family is important to her, so thank goodness she has lots of family nearby. She thoroughly enjoys the thrill of writing edgy fiction and hopes it will impact people’s lives in a positive way. She was published at the young age of six in a local newspaper and is excited for the amazing opportunity to be published again. It only took twenty-six years.

She enjoys English Toffee Cappuccino with hazelnut creamer, and her favorite shows are Arrow and Once Upon a Time. She belts out tunes while doing dishes and will never turn down a hug.

Welcome to our publishing house family, Deanna!

Sinking is now available for pre-order!

Available on Amazon, B&N, iBooks, and Kobo, Sinking is available for a limited time at $2.99–it will return to its regular price of $4.99 after the book’s launch.

Speaking of launches–will you be near Sacramento, California on Saturday, February 27th? Stop by De Vere’s Irish pub between 2-5pm to meet the author herself, Sarah Armstrong-Garner.

Can’t make it to California? No problem! Sarah’s Facebook launch party is slated for Thursday, February 25th from 7-9pm PST.

Prizes include gift cards, YA paperbacks and ebooks, and two signed copies of Sarah’s debut novel.

Back Cover Copy:

Jocelyn washes up on the shore of eighteenth century Ireland, alone, naked, and missing all of her memories. Taken in by a lonely old woman full of plots and schemes for the lovely yet enigmatic creature, Jocelyn knows only one thing. She longs for the sea with every ounce of her being. Yet it tried to kill her.

Aidan Boyd loves two things. His ship and the sea. When Jocelyn is thrust upon his vessel in the midst of his superstitious crew, he finds himself intoxicated by her—willing to give up everything for her. He soon finds he cannot live without her.

But something holds Jocelyn back. The whisper of another’s love. The embrace of water. Does she belong to this world? Or could Jocelyn possibly be from the sea?*

We hope you enjoy reading Sarah’s story as much as we enjoyed publishing it.

Happy Reading!
