About the Book

Ro’s people are starving. A curse has overtaken her land, blackening the soil, wiping out crops, and bringing ruin to all. She doesn’t know what to do.

The only people who thrive are the huntsmen, brought in by the mysterious Gautier to stem the flow of ravenous creatures looking for food.

When Ro accidentally kills a wolf, an idea begins to form. Could she become a huntress? Earn enough livres to feed her family?

But her world is shattered when her father promises her to a beast in exchange for his own life. If she doesn’t go, a curse will fall on her family worse than the one destroying their land. But Ro is determined to save her family another way.

Will Ro have the courage to seek her own fate instead of the one pressed upon her?

We are positively thrilled to reveal our newest cover!

Alara’s Call by Kristen Stieffel releases September 19, 2017 from L2L2 Publishing.

Congratulations, Kristen Stieffel!

From the back cover:

Tales are often told of heroes who fulfill ancient prophecies. Alara’s Call is the tale of a woman who gives new ones.

Alara sees visions of other’s futures, but never her own.

A young clergywoman with a fiery passion for her Telshan faith, she has been assigned to a mission abroad but longs to lead a congregation in her homeland. Her father, the prime minister, jeopardizes her dream and her safety when he coerces her into what he calls a diplomatic mission.

But it’s a ruse.

The trip is meant to end with her marriage to the crown prince of a foreign nation, where members of Alara’s faith are persecuted and women oppressed. All for a trade agreement her father is desperate to enact.

But her mentor intervenes and takes Alara to Dorrel, the suitor she left behind. They believe they are safe, but foreign soldiers are under orders to bring Alara to the king’s palace…by any means necessary.

We also want to thank Sara Helwe of Sara Helwe Digital Arts for another gorgeous cover. This cover artist has been such a blessing to our company, and we are grateful to have her on our team.

And thank you, dear readers, for joining us today.

Happy Reading!

About the author:

Kristen Stieffel was raised by parents who were Trekkies long before anyone coined the term, so naturally she specializes in writing and editing speculative fiction.

Prior to becoming a freelance editor and instructor of the writing craft, Kristen worked for twenty years at Orlando Business Journal, a weekly newspaper for executives and small business owners. After serving in both advertising and graphic design, Kristen transferred to the newsroom as a page designer and copyeditor. During her ten years in the newsroom, she wrote more than a thousand articles, columns, and opinion pieces.

An ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA, Kristen leads adult Bible study classes because it’s way easier than teaching kids. She is also an avid knitter, despite living in Florida. It is the state that pioneered air conditioning, after all. Visit www.KristenStieffel.com to learn more about this many-faceted author, editor, and instructor.

Ending Fear releases in two days! Be sure to pre-order your ebook copy for $2.99 before it goes up to $4.99 after the launch.

And on Thursday, we are having a Facebook Release Party to celebrate Ending Fear’s release. Hosted by the author herself, Laura A. Grace, and Michele Israel Harper, this party is overflowing with fun, games, and prizes. See you there!

Check out Deanna’s blog tour and scavenger hunt here (the prize is one copy of Ending Fear as well as its companion coloring book). The posts have been wonderful this past week, and we look forward to the coming week’s blog stops as well.

Thank you for joining us to celebrate our newest release, Ending Fear by Deanna Fugett!
