We are positively thrilled to reveal our newest cover!

Alara’s Call by Kristen Stieffel releases September 19, 2017 from L2L2 Publishing.

Congratulations, Kristen Stieffel!

From the back cover:

Tales are often told of heroes who fulfill ancient prophecies. Alara’s Call is the tale of a woman who gives new ones.

Alara sees visions of other’s futures, but never her own.

A young clergywoman with a fiery passion for her Telshan faith, she has been assigned to a mission abroad but longs to lead a congregation in her homeland. Her father, the prime minister, jeopardizes her dream and her safety when he coerces her into what he calls a diplomatic mission.

But it’s a ruse.

The trip is meant to end with her marriage to the crown prince of a foreign nation, where members of Alara’s faith are persecuted and women oppressed. All for a trade agreement her father is desperate to enact.

But her mentor intervenes and takes Alara to Dorrel, the suitor she left behind. They believe they are safe, but foreign soldiers are under orders to bring Alara to the king’s palace…by any means necessary.

We also want to thank Sara Helwe of Sara Helwe Digital Arts for another gorgeous cover. This cover artist has been such a blessing to our company, and we are grateful to have her on our team.

And thank you, dear readers, for joining us today.

Happy Reading!

About the author:

Kristen Stieffel was raised by parents who were Trekkies long before anyone coined the term, so naturally she specializes in writing and editing speculative fiction.

Prior to becoming a freelance editor and instructor of the writing craft, Kristen worked for twenty years at Orlando Business Journal, a weekly newspaper for executives and small business owners. After serving in both advertising and graphic design, Kristen transferred to the newsroom as a page designer and copyeditor. During her ten years in the newsroom, she wrote more than a thousand articles, columns, and opinion pieces.

An ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA, Kristen leads adult Bible study classes because it’s way easier than teaching kids. She is also an avid knitter, despite living in Florida. It is the state that pioneered air conditioning, after all. Visit www.KristenStieffel.com to learn more about this many-faceted author, editor, and instructor.

“Deanna Fugett’s writing is gritty, fast-paced, and absorbing. Once falling into her stories you’ll be pleasantly lost in a well-crafted world where characters explore hard questions and truth resonates deep.”
~Brandy Vallance, Award-Winning Author of The Covered Deep

*

“Deanna Fugett seeks to create more than memorable characters. She truly desires for her readers to dig deep within themselves to expose the sort of moral questions that ultimately a faith in God can answer. She hopes that through her writing the audience will not only unearth their own bravery, but know that while evil exists in our world, good will conquer in the end. Her passion for her readers is evident in each sentence she crafts.”
~Lauren Brandenburg, Author of the Boone Series, MG Fantasy

“Ending Fear is an engrossing, thrilling read! From the first sentence, the reader is plunged into Fear’s world. Add this dystopian novel to your library because Deanna Fugett is a bold new voice in speculative fiction.”
~J.M. Hackman, Author of Spark

We are pleased to announce we will be taking submissions at Realm Makers this year!

The conference boasts an incredible lineup of sessions and industry professionals, including Ted Dekker as the keynote speaker.

This also happens to be one of our favorite writers’ conferences, simply because it caters to authors of speculative fiction. What’s not to love? You have to check out this incredible conference.

Do you have a completed manuscript?

Acquisitions Editor Michele Israel Harper and Editorial Assistant Jebraun Clifford will be taking pitches and proposals.

What are we looking for?

Visit the submissions page to find out!

And sign up for a pitch session here.

Also, two of our titles, Rebirth and Zombie Takeover, are finalists for the 2017 Excellence in Editing Award! The winner will be announced at the SoCal Christian Writers’ Conference June 22–24 at Biola University in La Mirada, California and again at Realm Makers.

See the announcement here.

Congratulations Amy Brock McNew and Michele Israel Harper!

Both conferences have incredible sessions, stellar faculty, and keynote speakers you do not want to miss. We cannot recommend SoCal Christian Writers’ Conference and Realm Makers highly enough.
